I was invited by Thad Wong to create a mural on a building in Bucktown for the company @properties. Their current tagline was “love where you’re @“. Brainstorming on what to do, I landed on the universal word “love”. 

I always believe in boiling things down to a human level. To say things to each other, just as if we’re chatting. That’s always been my underlying passion to create positive public art in the world to interact with others. 

I painted the mural in my trademark cursive font in bold black and white. Loving one another is a bold choice, so I hoped to resonate the same impact. Countless selfies, weekend shots, wedding photographs, and the like have shown the response to the simple, bold, and loving message behind the mural.
